There should be an adapter that screws onto the treaded part (red arrow) and then the bd tube would srew into the side of it like the green arrow and then the supply line would srew into the other end of the adapter.: Are you suggesting this... :  : Where the bdtube connects to the valve and then the supply line to where the purple arrow is? The end of the blow down tube doesn't have any thread, and even then, all it's doing is serving to extend the supply line rather than acting as an alternate path.
: : the part of the picture that is threaded. Then your supply line should screw into the other side of the blow down tube. Make sense? The bd tube is supposed to go in line between the bottle and supply line.
